Gov’t Mule Returns to Ithaca on October 29 w/ very special guest Jackie Greene

DSP in association with GNP, Inc. are proud to announce the return of Gov’t Mule to the State Theatre on Thursday, October 29. Tickets are on sale now via the Mule Fan Club. General Public tickets go on sale this Saturday, August 29th at 10AM. Tickets will cost $29.50 and $26.50 and are available without service charge at the State Theatre Box Office, located at 105 West State Street in Ithaca. Big riffs, massive grooves, and expansive improvisations are the hallmarks of Gov’t Mule’s legendary live shows. Likewise, their well-crafted songs feature larger-than-life characters bearing life’s 
heaviest burdens, performed by four musicians : guitarist/vocalist Warren Haynes, drummer Matt Abts, keyboard player Danny Louis, and bassist Jorgen Carlsson whose powerful musicianship and chemistry along with their tireless work ethic have earned them the respect of their peers. After a long summer that began with Mountain Jam and continued through his Allman Brothers side-gig, Warren leads the Mule back to Ithaca to triumphantly rock the State Theatre stage.
Dubbed “The Prince of Americana” by the New York Times, Jackie Greene is steeped in country, blues, jazz, rock and folk traditions, defying easy categorization. We are thrilled to have Jackie opening this show.

Free Boody Institute is a band that promotes free love in a party atmosphere while exposing the great R&B B-Side classics of Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Earth Wind & Fire, Chaka Kahn, Chic and many, many others. Based in Ithaca, NY, FBI was founded by members Frank Henry Jr. and London McDaniel and includes members from Blue Sky Mission Club and the Bernie Milton R&B Allstars. FBI is a hit!
