David von Mering and Carter Schultz are from Wayland, MA and have come together to create a sound that finds its roots in reggae, with smooth and offbeat guitar riffs that are reminiscent of bands like Slightly Stoopid and the Expendables with a strong core in hip-hop. Their music also incorporates the sound of acoustic pop and contemporary indie rock. The mixtape “Water on the Moon” which was picked up on major college music blogs such as Good Music All Day, Sunset in the Rearview, 1146 Miles, Potholes in My Blog, and Dirty Mexican Lemonade and was released in late Fall 2010. Following the release Aer immediately hit the road being booked at Lehigh University, University of North Carolina, University of South Carolina, Syracuse University and shows all over the east coast. Aer left their mark on 2011 with their mixtape “The Reach” which was sponsored by popular college music blog Good Music All Day, and has amassed over 25,000 downloads since its May 9th release. Aer also joined Cris Cab on part of his tour at Webster Hall in NYC, and O’Brien’s in Boston this summer.
